On March 27, 2024, AzMI named after. S. Tentishev’s Department of Morphological Disciplines organized and held a round table dedicated to World Tuberculosis Day. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about the problem of tuberculosis among students of the medical college within the framework of the subjects “Clinical Pathology” and “Human Anatomy and Physiology with the Basics of Pathology”
Students of the AzMI Medical College named after S. Tentishev highlighted the main issues raised during the discussion in the form of reports and presentations:
- Epidemiological situation of tuberculosis in the world and in the Kyrgyz Republic
- The causative agent of tuberculosis
- Routes of transmission
- Symptoms and signs of tuberculosis
- Problems of diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis.
- Social aspects of tuberculosis and methods of prevention
The event was organized by teachers of the department of morphological disciplines Nurlanov I.N. and Tulieva A.K. At the end of the event, certificates of participants were awarded. The students showed a desire to participate in such events as much as possible and expressed great gratitude for organizing the round table.
