History of the department
The department was founded in September 2016.

The department includes the following disciplines:

1. General surgery (560001);
2. Surgical diseases, Radiation diagnostics(560001);
3. Hospital Surgery (530001);
4. Surgical diseases (530001);
5. Operative surgery (560001);
6. Traumatology and Orthopedics (530001);
7. Oncology (530001);
8. Pediatric surgery (530001);
9. First medical aid (560001);
10. Plastic surgery (530001)

From September 2017 the following disciplines will be introduced:

1. Surgical diseases 2 (560001);

Clinical bases of the department:

1. National Surgical Center;
2. National Center of Oncology;
3. Bishkek Scientific Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics;
4. Urban Children’s Clinical Emergency Hospital;
5. Clinical Hospital №1.

Scientific themes of the department:

1. Reconstructive surgery for relapse of peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum after surgical interventions by Billroth I and Billroth II;
2. Sepsis in Abdominal Surgery;
3. Intestinal obstruction.
