The recent inter-universities “THERAPEUTIC WORKSHOP ON CVS AND CNS PHYSICAL EXAMINATION,” organized by the Education Department of the AsMI Student Parliament on March 13th, 2023, proved to be a highly enriching experience for students from various prestigious universities. Participants from institutions including the International School of Medicine IUK, Royal Metropolitan University, Avicenna International Medical University, ADAMS, and the International Higher School of Medicine actively engaged in the workshop. Led by four experienced instructors, Dr. Hafiz Aamir, Dr. Shahab, Dr. Imran Ali, and Dr. Sheraz Khan, the workshop was divided into four stations – A, B, C, and D, each focusing on different aspects of cardiovascular and central nervous system physical examinations.
Throughout the two sessions, held from 01:00 pm to 04:00 pm at the S. Tentishev Memorial Asian Medical Institute, students were immersed in hands-on learning experiences, covering essential procedures outlined following NLE guidelines. From auscultation and inspection to palpation and percussion for cardiovascular examination, to DTR, cerebellum examination, cranial nerve examination, dermatomes, gaits, and GCS score for central nervous system examination, the workshop provided a comprehensive understanding of these crucial diagnostic techniques. Overall, the event served as a testament to the commitment of educators in nurturing the skills and knowledge of future healthcare professionals, fostering collaboration and excellence in medical education.
