“We are against AIDS”
World AIDS Day on December 1 brings together people from all over the world to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and demonstrate international solidarity in the face of the pandemic.
Currently, HIV infection is considered one of the urgent problems of medicine, and since the beginning of the epidemic, more than 75 million people have become infected with this disease, and about 40 million people have died from AIDS. Today, the planning and implementation of measures for the prevention and control of diseases are priority tasks.
In connection with this date, the Asian Medical Institute held and participated in a number of events. In particular, the departments of the institute organized round tables and interactive games under the motto “We are against AIDS”, highlighting and discussing the transmission factors, symptoms, and prevention measures of HIV infection. The department of therapeutic and specialized disciplines, the department of interprofessional disciplines, and the student parliament held a student scientific conference dedicated to this date. Students of 1-6 courses of the Faculty of Medicine participated in a survey on HIV / AIDS and measures for its prevention and made presentations to the conference participants. Winners were determined for each course and awarded diplomas.
