Today, we proudly celebrate Ak Kalpak Day (Ак калпак күнү), a special occasion dedicated to honoring the Ak Kalpak, the traditional white felt headdress of the Kyrgyz people. More than just an accessory, the Ak Kalpak embodies Kyrgyzstan’s rich history, cultural heritage, and national identity.
To commemorate this meaningful day, teachers of the Kyrgyz language and students at the Asian Medical Institute gathered for a ceremonial event, embracing the deep-rooted significance of the Ak Kalpak with pride and respect.
