AzMI students took an active part in the I International Olympiad for students of medical universities in fundamental disciplines, dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the birth of I.K. Akhunbaev, which took place on March 23, 2023, at the KSMA named after I.K. Akhunbaeva.
13 universities took part, including universities from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
AzMI students showed good results and took prizes:
1st place – in the subject of pathological physiology, student of the 7th semester of the Faculty of Medicine Kaliimullah
2nd place – in the subject of normal physiology, student of the 7th semester of the Faculty of Medicine – Mohammad Sohail;
2nd place – in the subject of pathological anatomy, 7th-semester student of the Faculty of Medicine – Ahmad Hassan ;
2nd place – in the subject of normal anatomy, 7th-semester student of the Faculty of Medicine – Farhaan Ali Shah;
3rd place – in the subject of biochemistry, student of the 5th semester of the Faculty of Medicine – Condru Drona ;
3rd place – in the subject of forensic medicine, student of the 10th semester of the Faculty of Medicine – Anant Singh.
Also, Tuba Khurshiid, a 10th-semester student of the Faculty of Medicine, was awarded a diploma for participating in the competition of scientific projects for young scientists.
The preparation of students for the Olympics was carried out under the leadership of the Department of Morphological Disciplines of the AzMI named after S. Tentishev, as well as in cooperation with the Department of Interprofessional Disciplines.
